Alexis de Tocqueville Institution
Poor Linus Torvalds now getting flack saying he didnt write Linux and that he sourced it from Minux,. Will be interesting to see how this unfolds giving the animosity that Linux wrote about in his autobiography between the Minux inventor and himself. Alexis de Tocqueville Institution
And here is a reply by the inventor of Minux. What a cool guy to stand up and defend Linus, although a bit back handed as he reckoned Linus's code was was more backward than his.

Cambridge University Conference Site
For anyone looking to host a one day or multi day conference in magnificient surroundings and at very reasonable prices - this is the place to be Host a do in Cambridge UK Apparently there are over 6500 bedrooms, 200 private function and meeting rooms, 30 dining rooms and 90 lecture theatres at your disposal. For instance you can hire out the dining hall at Kings College and Queens College. Last years CHASE dinner was in the candle lit hall (how apt for an high tech outfit to have dinner in a room that has NEVER had electricity fitted) at Magdalene College.

System Failure
This is an interesting book about the failure of social policies written by my old lost friend Jake Chapman. I like his analogy about throwing a stone and throwing a live bird in terms of trying to predict an outcome. Jake (wka Pete) taught me most of my electronics knowledge. A brilliant teacher. We even had a business together, CamEl making music operated lights - That was novel in the late sixties!
